Get Into It Drop-Ins - Textiles and Crafts - Summer 2024
–About Get Into It Drop-Ins - Textiles and Crafts - Summer 2024
Join Artist and Maker Vicki Brown in this series of practical craft and textiles workshops. Each week will focus on a different style and technique, and participants will be able to take away anything they create on the day. All equipment and resources will be provided. No prior experience necessary, all are welcome.
When and where do sessions take place?
Our drop-ins take place in the Festival Theatre foyer (the opposite end to Café on the Park) throughout the day on Mondays. These sessions take place from 2.30 - 4pm on the following dates:
15 April - Pictures in Wool, needle felted pictures
22 April - Boro Repair, Japanese mending technique. Participants are welcome to bring their own woven fabric to repair, or practice with fabric provided.
29 April - Paper Beads or Miniature Embroidery in a Frame
13 May - Make your own Found-Paper Notebook
20 May - Crepe Paper Flowers
You can come to drop-ins every week or as and when you can make it, each session is stand alone and low commitment.
Cost and Bursaries
All drop-in sessions cost £10 per person, per session. You can book your space in advance or, as the name suggests, you can simply drop-in on the day.
We never want cost to be a barrier for anyone who wants to attend, so if you'd like to find out more about our bursary scheme, and ways we can support you to engage with our work, get in touch with us at [email protected].
