With our light and comfortable interior spaces overlooking Oaklands Park, the Festival Theatre is a lovely environment to relax in, whether you’re seeing a show, having lunch with friends, or grabbing a coffee while browsing with our free Wi-Fi.

Caper & Berry have provided excellent catering for Chichester Festival Theatre since 2014. They are dedicated to serving freshly produced food and drink wherever possible from local and regional suppliers, and their specialist team are experienced in providing efficient and professional service. We are working together to reduce waste, plastics and energy consumption in order to make a smaller impact on our environment.

The Café

The Café in the Festival Theatre is a great spot for a good coffee or light lunch, and also serves freshly made sandwiches, salads, delicious cakes, and a range of hot and cold drinks.

Opening times
Monday to Friday from 10am until the end of the interval of the evening performance. The Café opens at 9am on Saturdays. On days when there is no performance in the Festival Theatre, The Café closes at 5pm.


The Foyle Terrace

Overlooking Oaklands Park, The Foyle Terrace offers a glorious vantage point to enjoy lighter bites prior to performances. Choose from freshly made pizzas and delicious quiches to tasty jacket potatoes, chunky sausage rolls and a selection of salads.

Opening times 
Open 90 minutes before Festival Theatre performances, providing even more opportunity to grab a drink or a light bite.

The Minerva Bar & Grill

The Minerva Bar & Grill upstairs provides a relaxed atmosphere, and offers both main meals and lighter food options.

Opening times: 12pm - 2.30pm on matinee days and from 5pm for evening performances.

The Brasserie 

The Brasserie on the ground floor of the Minerva Theatre is open for pre-show dining in new stylish and elegant surroundings. The restaurant serves a contemporary British menu using local and seasonal ingredients as well as an excellent choice of wines.

Opening times: 12pm - 2.30pm (1.15pm latest booking) on matinee days and from 5pm for evening performances.

The Foyle Terrace and Bar offers a selection of locally produced spirits, ales and lagers and wine by the glass or bottle. Treat yourself to a bottle of the award-winning Wiston sparkling wine before the show, and we can keep it chilled until the interval.

You can also join us after the evening show for a drink with friends. The Minerva Bar & Grill has a wide range of local ales, lagers, wines and spirits, including our extensive gin menu, to choose from.

Taste Events

We have also created a mini season of entertaining evenings and gin-tastic get-togethers over the next few months; we hope you can join us!

Many of our dishes are suitable for vegetarians, and we indicate vegan, dairy free, gluten free options on our menus. Some dishes can also be modified to be gluten free. Please ask your server if you have any allergies, intolerances or other dietary requirements.
