With our light and comfortable interior spaces and outdoor seating on the terrace overlooking Oaklands Park, the Festival Theatre is a lovely environment to relax in, whether you’re seeing a show, having lunch with friends, or grabbing a coffee while browsing with our free Wi-Fi.

Our recently refurbished award-winning restaurants have been transformed into modern, bright and comfortable spaces in which to enjoy a meal and drink before the show. 

Caper & Berry have provided excellent catering for Chichester Festival Theatre since 2014. They are dedicated to serving freshly produced food and drink wherever possible from local and regional suppliers, and have a specialist team experienced in providing efficient and professional service.

The Café

The Café in the Festival Theatre is a great spot for a light lunch or a good coffee, and also serves freshly made sandwiches, salads, delicious cakes, and a range of hot and cold drinks.

Opening times
Monday to Saturday from 10am until the end of the interval of the evening performance. On non-performance days The Café closes at 5pm.

The Brasserie

The Brasserie on the ground floor of the Minerva Theatre is open for pre-show dining in new stylish and elegant surroundings. The restaurant serves a contemporary British menu using local and seasonal ingredients as well as an excellent choice of wines.

Opening times:
12pm - 2.30pm (1.15pm latest booking) on matinee days and from 5pm for evening performances.

CHILDREN EAT FREE IN THE BRASSERIE  

Children under 12 can dine for free* with a full paying adult in The Brasserie. Available during performances of The Jungle Book, The Little Matchgirl, Comedy Club 4 Kids, Penguin and Tales from the Shed.

*Guests will be able to order one FREE two course children’s meal with every full paying adult two course meal at £20.95. Available on all Family Shows from 25 January – 16 February in the Brasserie only. In this instance, children refer to those under the age of 12 years old. Please note this does not include drinks.

The Minerva Bar & Grill

The Minerva Bar & Grill upstairs provides a more relaxed atmosphere, and offers both main meals and lighter food options.

Late Night Drinks

Your visit doesn’t have to end at the final bows. Join us after the evening show in the Minerva Bar & Grill for a drink with friends. Our range of local ales, lagers, wines and spirits, including our extensive gin menu, offers plenty to choose from.

The Foyle Terrace

The Foyle Terrace and Bar offers a selection of locally produced spirits, ales and lagers and wine by the glass or bottle. Treat yourself to a bottle of the award-winning Nyetimber sparkling wine before the show, and we can keep it chilled until the interval.

Open 90 minutes before the performance, providing even more opportunity to grab a drink or a light bite with friends.
