About Drop In Workshop - Performing Stories With No Words
Performing Stories with no Words
Our monthly drop-in sessions are the perfect way to try out a new creative artform in a relaxed, no-pressure setting. Come every month or as and when you can make it, each session is stand alone and low commitment.
Join Director and Facilitator James C Ball in this playful acting workshop focusing on the basic clown and mime principles for performing narrative without dialogue. This fun beginners session is all about engaging your imagination and bringing worlds to life for an audience.
No previous experience in performing is required, but a willingness to play, be a little silly and work with others is essential. Games and exercises will be adaptable to needs and access requirements, if possible please make us aware of your needs in advance. We advise wearing clothing suitable for moving around in.
When and where do sessions take place?
This practical workshop will take place in the Roddick Room in the Steven Pimlott Building, onsite at Chichester Festival Theatre, on Wednesday 11 June from 2-3:30pm.
Cost and Bursaries
Drop-In sessions cost just £10 per person. You can book your space in advance or, as the name suggests, you can simply drop-in on the day.
We believe everyone should have the chance to take part, so if cost feels like a barrier, don’t hesitate to reach out and ask about our bursary scheme. For more information, email us at leap@cft.org.uk—we’d love to hear from you.
