Drop-In Workshop: Creative Writing
About Drop-In Workshop: Creative Writing
Our programme of drop-in sessions take place monthly at the theatre, and offer a chance to dip your toes in the waters of a different creative art form each time. Come every month or as and when you can make it, each session is stand alone and low commitment.
Join Summer Tewkesbury as she leads participants in a range of creative writing exercises. From poems to plays, monologues to novels, anything and everything is possible in this gentle session.
When and where do sessions take place?
This session will take place in the Festival Theatre Foyer Café (the opposite end to Café on the Park) onsite at Chichester Festival Theatre on Wednesday 9 October from 2 - 3.30pm.
Cost and bursaries
All drop-in sessions cost £10 per person, per session. You can book your space in advance or, as the name suggests, you can simply drop-in on the day.
We never want cost to be a barrier for anyone who wants to attend, so if you'd like to find out more about our bursary scheme, and ways we can support you to engage with our work, get in touch with us at [email protected].
About the practitioner
Summer Tewkesbury (she/her) is a performer and practitioner. Since graduating with a degree in Performing Arts in 2022, she has been in multiple original theatre shows and immersive theatre contracts. Alongside performing, Summer loves sharing her love for theatre by leading workshops and assisting in Chichester Festival Youth Theatre sessions. She has just graduated from the Young Practitioners Programme this year (2024) and has learnt so much on her ongoing journey with CFT. Summer’s love for writing and reading, sparked by her own experience in scriptwriting, inspires her to run creative writing workshops, helping others discover and nurture their own passion for writing.
