Young Practitioner Programme

Our Young Practitioner programme runs from September through to July, and provides mentoring, practical masterclasses and experience-based learning. Supported by CFT staff in a small group, we focus on personal development. It's a programme designed to give hands-on experience that our young people can use in their future.

Each year we work with individuals who may face barriers to engaging in the arts, helping to bridge the leap from college or sixth form to university, or developing skills for those wanting to go to drama school or start a career in the arts.

The young practitioners lead their own sessions, providing a route towards professional roles in this area. We've seen previous participants go on to work as freelance artists, as trainees and in entry level posts at different theatres, in education settings, and study at drama schools.

And we're very pleased to introduce you to our new cohort of Young Practitioners! We'll be checking in with them throughout the year to see what they're getting up to and how they're getting on.
