Howard has twice been awarded the Olivier Award for Best Lighting Designer: in 2008 for the Chichester production of Macbeth and again in 2015. In 2012 he received the Knight of Illumination Award for his work on Anna Christie at the Donmar. He has been nominated twice for Broadway’s Tony Awards.
