Early Years - Melody Circle (Autumn 2026)
Wednesdays, 9 September - 2 DecemberAbout Early Years - Melody Circle (Autumn 2026)
Join our Melody Circle and discover the joy of singing in a welcoming, supportive environment. This is a space where babies can make noise, wriggle and play, but where the aim of the class is to nourish you.
You do not have to be a singer or read music and you will never audition or sing alone! Led by Laura Blake (Harbour Harmonies), each session introduces beautiful songs in a gentle way, with the group learning together step by step before singing as one, or sometimes even in three-part harmony.
Singing has been shown to release endorphins and oxytocin, helping to reduce stress, boost wellbeing and foster connection. You'll learn a repertoire of uplifting songs to take home and share with your little one, supporting both their development and your own sense of calm. Research has also shown that group singing can help reduce symptoms of postnatal depression (Fancourt & Perkins, 2018).
All parents and carers with babies who are not yet walking are warmly welcome.
When and where do sessions take place?
Sessions will take place each Wednesday at 1.15pm on the following dates in the Steven Pimlott Building (the wooden building closest to Broyle Road here at CFT. Check out our new map if you're not sure):
