We’re lucky to have an enthusiastic group of ambassadors who volunteer to spread the word about CFT across the local community. Each year, we recruit Workplace Ambassadors from local businesses and employers, and Prologue Ambassadors aged 16-30. Both groups come to the shows and meet regularly during the Festival Season to discuss the productions they’ve seen. Think of it like a book club, but for theatre. Theatre Club, if you will! Our ambassadors then post about the shows on social media and promote CFT to colleagues, friends and local connections.
Read on to see what they thought of The BFG and some of the content they created to share their experiences.
The best place to find our Prologue Ambassadors online is over on our TikTok. You might spot them roaming around outside our theatres making content or chatting to Prologue members. They’re usually wearing CFT lanyards – say hey if you see them!

Our Workplace Ambassadors shared their thoughts on the show, too...
We saw The BFG last night - just incredible. It felt so magical, I felt like a child seeing something amazing at the theatre for the first time.
Charlotte, Drama Teacher
The special effects were phenomenal, especially the dreams flying and spinning around the auditorium, the whole thing was wondercrump! You don't need to have chiddlers with you to enjoy the performance!
Phil, Recruiter and Ambassador for the Chichester Chamber of Commerce and Industry

Everything from the costumes to the acting was superb. Even as a grown adult I was mesmerised by the puppetry and special effects! I would highly recommend seeing this - I’m already looking to go again!
Sarah, SEND Officer
Hear a reaction to the show from Amanda, HR Business Partner (and Edward!):
A real mixture of ages on the audience, everyone raving about how amazing it was.
Jo, Skills Coach
Over the next couple of weeks our ambassadors will take a backstage tour before we meet again to chat all things theatre. Stay tuned for their thoughts on Magic, coming up next in the Festival Theatre from 24 April.
