News Story

Take your first look at our latest world premiere, David Haig's Magic, which has opened in the Festival Theatre. With a very limited run of just three weeks (closing on 16 May), our preview audiences have raced to be the first to share their thoughts on the play, which is inspired by the true story of a friendship between Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and Harry Houdini. As you'll see from the production photos, our backstage teams have done an incredible job bringing designer Joanna Parker's 1920s-inspired set and costumes to our stage.

If you're the sort of person who always leaves the theatre in heated discussion about what you've just seen, and would like to know more about this production, we've got a Director's Talk before the performance on Monday and a post-show talk with the company on 15 May, where you'll have a chance to put your questions to the people who have brought this story to life. Alternatively, why not fully immerse yourself in the show with one of our Theatre Days?
