Here at CFT, we love thinking of new ways to be more environmentally friendly, which is why our fabulous Costume department have created beautiful bound notebooks from material offcuts, end of fabric rolls and old costumes.

These upcycled notebooks will make the perfect gift for any theatre lover in your life (yourself included!). Take home a little piece of your favourite CFT production - each notebook includes the name of the show the fabric came from and which character wore it.

In The Sound of Music, Maria transformed her curtains into play-clothes for the von Trapp children, and they have now been repurposed again!

In addition to being one-of-a-kind creations, these notebooks also have a unique feature. The corner triangles are cut off, not just for aesthetic effect, but for a green purpose too. These triangles are donated to local schools, where they’re used to create recycled paper, helping to teach the next generation about sustainability and the importance of reusing resources. The fabric snippets are transformed into decorative wreaths, ensuring that every scrap is reused.

Two hardback notebooks: one is bound in floral fabric, resting on an open notebook page with the Chichester Festival Theatre logo and the words 'A stage for every story'

These notebooks are available to purchase from our Box Office counter (and shops during performances) in the Festival Theatre foyer and are priced at £20.
