Over the past 12 months, we have had the pleasure of welcoming over 12,000 students and teachers to CFT from schools and education groups. Of these, just under 4,000 experienced Lord of the Flies and more than 4,000 have now attended The BFG

Most recently, at our schools performance of The BFG on 24 March, we welcomed 20 education groups through our doors, including 5 visiting CFT for the very first time. Approximately 1,125 students, accompanied by 125 teachers, joined us to enjoy a truly gloriumptious performance.

Beyond the auditorium, we also delivered a Schools Theatre Day which saw a total of 494 students taking part, where they had the opportunity to explore the set, hear from creatives, and gain insight into the inner workings of the production.

We are continuing to extend learning opportunities through 35 workshops for schools, helping students to deepen their engagement with puppetry and script writing, and have created a schools resource pack for teachers alongside CPD sessions.

These experiences reflect our ongoing commitment to inspiring young people, enriching learning beyond the classroom, and making theatre engaging and accessible for the next generation.
