We've been inspired by our production of A Midsummer Night's Dream to create our ultimate 90s playlist. 

We asked members of the company to pick a 90s banger they'd want on the playlist and why, so scroll through their picks below, have a listen and let us know on social what your 90s pick would be.

Warning: some of our company members aren't lucky enough to have experienced the 90s for real - for those of us that were, enjoy reliving some club classics and Brit Pop anthems.

When my Mum was pregnant with me, it was top of the charts, and she played it all the time. Apparently, I used to jig along in her tummy...!

Shane David-Joseph - Playing Puck

My song is Tempted to Touch by Beres Hammond

Reggae and Soca were always played in our house, and this track takes me back to my mum cooking the best dishes whilst the radio blares out tunes on the radio (usually with a DJ speaking through the whole song on Roots FM). 

Freya Parks - Playing Helena

My song is Common People by Pulp

What an anthem!!! I love feeling like I’m reliving the 90s through a strange sort of second-hand nostalgia every time I hear this song (and, well, any Pulp song).  Makes you think about the state of classism in Britain whilst you jump up and down, singing it at the top of your lungs!

Me and my little bro in the 90s. As a hardcore tomboy, this was my anthem and Gwen was my hero.

One song?! So hard. But I've gone for this. Is it my favourite? Probably not. But it's a great tune and it totally transports me back to my teenage years in the 90s of house parties and discoveries.

This was one of the tracks on a compilation album I was bought as a child (Now That's What I Call Music! 32) - Me and my friend Laura would jump around on sofa’s dancing to this song as kids – in our dance heaven! (I was 9 years old).

The pop girly in me is having a really hard time not picking a Spice Girls, All Saints, Alisha’s Attic or Ace of Base song but… this one just sums up a whole era, and for a long time after it remained a getting ready anthem before a night out.
