Ryan Dawson Laight is an accomplished costume and set designer with extensive experience in theatre and dance. Recently, he earned a nomination for Best Costume Design at the WhatsOnStage Awards for La Cage Aux Folles.
In this session, Ryan will share insights into his creative process, from initial sketches to costume fittings, and how to make a range of costumes for an entire cast with a host of makers. He’ll also introduce the collaborators who help bring stunning stage designs to life. Currently, Ryan is working on CFYT's A Boy Called Christmas, The Nutcracker at the Royal Festival Hall, and My Son’s a Queer in the West End and on Broadway.
