It's probably safe to assume that you've heard of The Sound of Music, you may even have seen the iconic film with Julie Andrews, but what you won't have seen is a production of it live on stage at CFT. Well now you can!

This summer for the first time, The Sound of Music comes to the Festival Theatre in this brand-new stage production. Running from 10 July until 3 September with tickets from just £10 (plus there's Family Tickets, Access Discounts and £5 Prologue Tickets for members available - check out the pricing tab on the show page).

Rodgers and Hammerstein's last, and perhaps most treasured musical, has a glorious score from Climb Ev'ry Mountain, My Favorite Things and Edelweiss to Do-Re-Mi and The Sound of Music itself (there's even some songs that weren't in the film).

So let's take a look at how this production is shaping up - there will probably be a few faces you'll recognise; Gina Beck was Nellie in our 2021 production of South Pacific, Ako Mitchell was here in 2017 in Caroline, or Change and Emma Williams was on the Festival Theatre stage in Half A Sixpence in 2016.

If you missed it...
