News Story

Last year, as part of our 60th Anniversary celebrations, we seeded a wildflower meadow in Oaklands Park.
This year, to continue our efforts in cultivating and expanding the meadow, we have added a Bug Hotel, which was donated by Aldingbourne Trust. We're looking forward to welcoming many mini and mighty visitors throughout the summer and beyond.
The Wildflower Meadow can be found behind the Theatre, and we help to maintain it alongside Transition Chichester and Chichester District Council.
Everyone is welcome to come and explore (not just bugs!). If you're taking a stroll through the meadow, here are a few of the wildflowers you might spot:
- Meadow Buttercup
- Ox Eye Daisy
- Wild Poppy
- White Campion
- Cow Parsley
- Purple Clover
- Germander Speedwell
We'd love to see any photos you take of our Wildflower Meadow or Bug Hotel, so feel free to share them on social media and remember to tag us!
