We are delighted to be working in Partnership with Asphaleia to provide a workshop programme for Unaccompanied Asylum Seekers. This year we are expanding our partnership to three weekly sessions, which will mean we are able to work with up to 45 unaccompanied asylum seekers a week. They will be using theatre practice to improve written and spoken English, self-expression and social confidence.

Each young person will have access to 34 weekly workshops per year led by our Learning Education and Participation (LEAP) department practitioners, alongside Asphaleia teachers.

In the sessions participants work towards a Bronze Arts Award, giving them a Level one qualification in the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF). CFT will also provide bespoke follow up workshops, theatre tours and tickets for Asphaleia participants. You can find out more about our previous work with Asphaleia in the video below.
