During Shakespeare Week 2018, pupils can explore characters and scenes from one of the Bard’s greatest comedies - A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and learn about living conditions during the Elizabethan era. Through a partnership with Weald and Downland Living Museum, pupils will:
- Take part in practical theatre workshops led by CFT Young Practitioners
- Experience the new visitor centre and historic buildings at the museum
- Learn about everyday life in Shakespeare's time through a practical workshop
- Perform a short piece of work responding to the play, alongside other groups
There are plenty of follow-on opportunities at school, as teaching staff will also receive a digital resource pack to support classroom delivery.
