We pride ourselves on being a family friendly venue - both on stage and off - and we’re always delighted to welcome our youngest visitors and their grown-ups to the Theatre, whether to watch a show, take part in a workshop, or simply to have a cuppa while using our free Wi-Fi.

Classes and Workshops
Families can come together to explore and engage with CFT through a variety of Family Friendly workshops, events and activities, including Little Notes (music classes for newborns to 4 years old) and holiday activities.

Family Friendly shows
Our Festival season offers lots of family entertainment including Michael Morpurgo's magical adventure The Butterfly Lion and a very special Christmas treat when The Wizard of Oz comes to town. Come and visit for puppetry, beloved music and more.

Our light and airy café is open Monday to Friday from 10am (9am on Saturdays), and serves fantastic coffee, a range of hot and cold drinks, freshly prepared sandwiches, cakes and snacks for little ones. Outdoor seating and free Wi-Fi are available. We have baby changing facilities in all toilets, and lots of space for buggies!

The Theatre is right next to Northgate Car Park, an 800-space pay and display car park. Alternatively, we're a pleasant 20 minute walk from Chichester Train station, and the number 60 Stagecoach bus stops nearby. See Getting Here for more info on transport links.
Family Friendly Foyle
If you're looking for somewhere new to take your pre-schoolers or catch up with some parent pals, join us on Thursdays from 10am - 12noon in our Family Friendly Foyle in the Festival Theatre’s Foyle Terrace to the left of the main entrance.
