Our engaging opportunities for students are designed to enhance knowledge, develop vital transferable skills and encourage collaborative learning.
We offer bespoke workshops for Post 16 students linked to current productions. Sessions can be tailored to study needs or a specific production focus and are designed to offer students a deeper understanding of the production they attend.

Insight workshop: Hedda Tesman
After thirty years of playing wife, Hedda is bitter and bored. When her estranged daughter, Thea, suddenly reappears asking for help, the present begins to echo the past and Hedda embarks on a path of destruction. Exploring the artistic intentions, design elements and key aspects of this production, students will also consider the themes of second chances and enduring tragedy.

Insight workshop: Macbeth
Alongside our contemporary production of Shakespeare's great tragedy, students can delve deeper into the text, staging and rehearsal techniques unique to our production.

Insight workshop: A Monster Calls
Take part in a practical workshop exploring the themes and content within this Olivier Award-winning adaptation of Patrick Ness's critically acclaimed novel. Develop creative skills in school or at the Theatre.
Available to book during the performance run of A Monster Calls. £4 per pupil.
Post-16 Technical Tasters
Led by the Theatre's technical teams, Technical Tasters offer learners insight into backstage theatre roles. Participants can find out how costumes or props are designed, how sets are realised or how to light a performance.
Learners also have the opportunity to ask questions and experience technical or stage equipment during a 90-minute taster. Technical Tasters are available at selected times throughout the year.
