Festival 2020 is here and there’s a whole lot in store for our Prologue members, with 10,000 £5 tickets available for 16-25 year olds across every performance!
The season includes five world premieres, two musicals and major revivals, as well as the return of the Chichester Speigeltent. We open the season with Bertolt Brecht’s epic The Life of Galileo and Tom Stoppard’s The Real Thing. Muriel Spark’s classic novel The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie takes the Festival stage whilst The Village Bike changes gear in the Minerva. This year’s classic summer musical will be South Pacific, directed by Artistic Director Daniel Evans.
Our first world premiere of the season is The Unfriend by Steven Moffat and directed by Mark Gatiss, the duo behind BBC’s Sherlock and Dracula. This is followed by a brand new adaptation of Andrea Levy’s The Long Song by Suhayla El-Bushra, and Kate Mosse’s Gothic thriller The Taxidermist’s Daughter. With the US election looming, the Minerva Theatre will host Christopher Shinn’s new play The Narcissist and Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman’s darkly funny musical Assassins will mark the composer’s 90th birthday in the Festival Theatre. Topping things off is Sarah Kane’s Crave in the Spiegeltent and Chichester Festival Youth Theatre’s Pinocchio.
Why not take advantage of our Early Bird deal? If you book for three productions in one transaction by 29 March, we’ll give you a ticket to a fourth for free, making Prologue tickets even more of a steal. Find out more about how to book here and tell your mates to sign up too!
