Richard Wilson

Previously at Chichester directed FRACKED! and Simply Disconnected (Minerva Theatre).

Trained at RADA and is best known for his role in One Foot In The Grave which has won him numerous awards.

Television includes A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Trollied, Danny and the Human Zoo, Playhouse Presents: Space Age, Merlin, New Tricks, Demons, Kingdom, Reichenbach Falls, The True Voice of Prostitution, Doctor Who, Born and Bred, High Stakes.

Awards include a British Comedy Award and two BAFTAs also two BAFTA Scotland Awards. He was awarded the OBE in 1994 for Services to Drama as a director and actor. In 2015 he was awarded an Honorary Doctorate from Sheffield Hallam University.

Richard is a highly regarded Director. He is a former Associate for Sheffield Theatres and the Royal Court Theatre.
