Chichester Festival Theatre’s new stage adaptation of THE MIDNIGHT GANG, David Walliams’s best-selling book about a gang of children who each night escape from their hospital beds to make their dreams come true, was live streamed on Thursday 25 October to Great Ormond Street Hospital, Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice near Arundel, and the children’s wards at Chichester’s St Richard’s Hospital and Worthing Hospital.
The matinee performance was filmed and broadcast directly to screens in each hospital, where CFT staff were on hand to introduce the performance, answer questions and share ice creams with the children in the interval!
The broadcast was the second time CFT has live streamed to local hospitals, following last year's broadcast of Beauty and the Beast to St Richard's and Worthing Hospitals.
Thank you to everyone who made this live-stream possible. What a wonderful thing to do 💛 Brilliant show and everyone at Chestnut Tree House loved being part of #TheMidnightGang! 🎭🎶👏 https://t.co/qFINxIELwU— Chestnut Tree House (@ChestnutSussex) 25 October 2018
