It was an exciting day on Monday when David Walliams joined the company of The Midnight Gang for their first day of rehearsals!
When it came out in 2016, The Midnight Gang went straight to the top of the bestseller lists. It’s a brilliant story about a gang of children who each night escape from their hospital beds to make their dreams come true. This new stage adaptation is by Bryony Lavery, with music by Joe Stilgoe, and runs from 13 October – 3 November. The roles of the five-strong ‘Midnight Gang’ will be shared between 10 young people aged 11 – 14, while the child-hating Matron will be Jennie Dale, recently seen in Me and My Girl.
Here’s a look at what happened when they all met David Walliams.
