Chichester is coming together to make its own commitments to mark the United Nations Climate Conference, COP26, which is being hosted in Glasgow from 31 October – 12 November.
Chichester Festival Theatre and The Great Sussex Way invite you to join us in Oaklands Park (next to the Theatre) on Tuesday 26 October at 12 noon, where we’ll be making a giant human sign spelling out the word COMMIT. Once we’ve taken an aerial photograph, we’ll invite you to make a commitment – one thing that you personally, your business or family will commit to do to work towards a more sustainable future.
Commitments will be written down on recycled theatre posters and displayed in the Festival Theatre foyer throughout the COP26 conference, with theatre visitors encouraged to add their own.
Date: Tuesday 26 October
Time: 12 noon (it will take approximately 45 minutes)
Location: Oaklands Park besides Chichester Festival Theatre
What to bring: Just yourself
What to wear: Bright or light colours (avoid green so we stand out from the grass!)
Do join us and be part of the movement! Share your ideas and take inspiration.
