Something on the Side
Ellen Terry with Eileen Atkins

Eileen Atkins
Theatre on the Fly
1 - 2 Aug 2012
Overview
Join award-winning actress and screenwriter Eileen Atkins as she gives us an intriguing insight into Shakespeare's women, as first told by Ellen Terry - one of Britain's most famous actresses.
Renowned worldwide, Ellen Terry was considered the greatest female Shakespearean performer in the 19th century. Her work on the playwright shines a light on Shakespeare’s portrayal of feisty, troubled, down-trodden, complex, witty and triumphant women.
Now, one hundred years later, Eileen Atkins takes the baton. Best known recently for Doc Martin and Cranford, her theatre credits include Harold Pinter: A Celebration and A Room of One’s Own.
