Chichester Festival Youth Theatre (CFYT) is one of the most celebrated and successful youth theatres in the UK, providing opportunities for young people to engage with high quality theatre and professional theatre directors and artists. It runs satellite youth theatres across the county and will extend these opportunities to include NEW youth theatre groups across the whole of West Sussex - CFYT WEST.

YOUTH THEATRE MEMBER
CFYT WEST offers practical theatre activities for young people who want to learn new skills, improve confidence, meet new people, take on new challenges, learn about professional theatres, watch live performances, perform in plays and musicals, work as a member of an ensemble, take part in festivals with other youth theatres across the country, get physical and ultimately have fun!
This new youth theatre will cover:
- Improvisation
- Script-work
- Physical theatre
- Performance projects
- Musical theatre
- Comedy
- Stage-fighting
- Puppeteering
- Street theatre
CFYT WEST is a partnership with The Capitol (Horsham District Council) and Arts Council England. We are also delighted to be working with West Sussex County Council and local schools. Supported by The Eranda Foundation and The Roddick Foundation.
Weekly evening workshops
For young people aged 10 - 19. New groups will be starting in the following areas:

TUESDAY
Oakmeeds Community College,
BURGESS HILL
WEDNESDAY
Rydon Community College, STORRINGTON
FRIDAY
The Weald, BILLINGSHURST
Please note young people do not need to attend these schools to be a member of CFYT West.
