One of the most successful partnerships in the history of the Broadway musical, Rodgers and Hart influenced the sound of theatre throughout the 1920s and 1930s. Strewn with classic numbers, including ‘My Funny Valentine’, ‘Johnny One Note’ and ‘The Lady is a Tramp’, Babes in Arms was their most hit-laden score and one of musical comedy’s finest.

High-spirited and zany, this is the original ‘Let’s put on a show, right here in the barn!’ show-biz musical. A group of aspiring young performers working in a rundown provincial theatre strike out by staging their own show and, against all odds, prepare to take it to Broadway.

With breathtaking choreography and an astonishing number of show-stopping songs peppering its gloriously ditzy story, Babes in Arms fizzes with vitality and energy. Rodgers and Hart’s collaborations include Pal Joey, The Boys from Syracuse, A Connecticut Yankee and On Your Toes.

Please be aware Lorna Luft will not be appearing Monday 11 or Tuesday 12 June. Catherine Terry will be taking the role of Mrs Phylis Owen for these performances.
