Chichester Chamber Concert - Talich Quartet
The Talich Quartet played … with supreme perfection of tone and ensemble..."
The Talich Quartet gave a memorable concert at the Assembly Room in March 2008. Their return visit will be a special event in the 2009-2010 season.
The Talich Quartet has been considered one of the world’s finest for many years and appears regularly at the most prestigious chamber music festivals and venues in Europe, Asia and the Americas.
Founded in 1964 by Jan Talich sr, the Quartet quickly gained significant acclaim, and their recordings on CD won many prizes. In the 1990s a gradual change took place and the current more youthful combination led by Jan Talich jr is continuing in the tradition of their predecessors.
