BBC Concert Orchestra: Classical Connections
We are proud to welcome back the BBC Concert Orchestra to its regional home in the south for the sixth year running.
For one night only, Sue Perkins, winner of the hit BBC TV series Maestro is re-united with the BBC Concert Orchestra. After triumphing in the battle of the batons she went on to take Hyde Park by storm as she wowed a 35,000-strong Proms in the Park audience. To whoops, cheers and popping corks Sue conducted Elgar's Pomp and Circumstance March No. 4, joined by Lesley Garrett in 'Merce, dilette amiche' from Verdi's opera The Sicilian Vespers, and 'The Impossible Dream' from Man of La Mancha, a musical retelling of the story of Don Quixote.
Book your tickets as this multi-talented TV & Radio star once again steps up to the podium for an evening of toe-tapping classics mixed with fun, laughter and a few surprises along the way.
