Our Promise: While working within the confines of a Grade II* listed building, we aim to ensure our customers have an enjoyable and memorable visit to the Theatre.

Wheelchair Users

There are eight wheelchair spaces in the Festival Theatre and two in the Minerva Theatre. Access to these seats is by lift to the first floor. There are nine non-reservable spaces for blue badge holders in the car park next to the Theatre. There is limited access to some parts of the auditoria. We regret that customers may not transfer from a wheelchair to a theatre seat.

Hearing Impaired

Sennheiser units are available free of charge from the Access Point in the Festival Theatre foyer (by Door 2) and from staff on the first floor of the Minerva Theatre.

Signed Performances

There are signed performances in the Festival Theatre interpreted by Ann McAllister and these are indicated on the Festival diary.

Stagetext Captioned Performances

Captioning converts words into text that appears on a screen at the same time as they are sung or spoken. For more information, see stagetext.org. Captioned performances are indicated on the Festival diary.

Visually Impaired

Guide dogs are welcome; please let us know when booking your tickets as there are limited spaces. All row ends and numbers on individual seats in the Festival Theatre are given in Braille. Touch tours may be available on request; please contact Michelle Todd, House Manager, on 01243 784437 for more details.

Audio Described Performances

Audio described performances are indicated on the Festival diary. Headsets can be collected from the Access Point in the Festival Theatre foyer (by Door 2) and from staff in the Minerva Theatre.

Parking for disabled patrons

There are nine non-reservable parking spaces for blue badge holders in the Northgate car park, although with a badge it is permissible to park anywhere in the car park.

Accessible Toilets

Both theatres have accessible toilets. These are located by the lift in the Festival Theatre and on the first floor of the Minerva Theatre.
