Overview
The Roman playwright Terence ‘translated’ Greek comedy for a new world.
As the culmination of our Adult Classes in Theatre ‘summer scheme’, there will be a sharing of scenes from Terence’s comedies at Fishbourne Roman Palace. Surrounded by the extraordinary mosaics of 1st and 2nd Century Roman Britain, with words set down over 250 years before that, we can sense the wit, humanity and influence of a playwright come alive more than 2,000 years later.
