Overview

This year Chichester Festival Theatre will be hosting its third regional Raising the Game event.

Raising the Game is a training event for those over the age of 18 who work with young people through theatre. Workshops are run by professional artists and every participant will take part in three workshops  packed with opportunities for learning and sharing.

In response to last year's feedback the workshops are longer and more specialised, making this year’s event relevant for both those that have been before and those that are new to Raising the Game. Workshop choices currently include:

• Directing with Nona Sheppard (RADA)
• Practical Ways of running Arts Award with Victoria Briggs (Salisbury Playhouse)
• Devising with Stuart Harvey (Chichester Festival Youth Theatre)
• Vulnerable groups and Child Protection with Emily Mundy (The Dramatherapy Partnership) and Samantha Bocelli (Chichester Festival Theatre/Portsmouth Festivities)
• Commedia del’arte with Christopher Hawes (Slingshot Theatre Company)
• Fight Scenes with Big Groups with Megan Purdie (Chichester Festival Youth Theatre)
• Writing with Young People with Rosanna Lowe (Playwright)
• Networking and Partnerships with Dale Rooks (Chichester Festival Youth Theatre)
