Overview

A choral concert held in the wonderful setting of Arundel Cathedral with the University of Chichester Chamber Choir, Chichester Chorale and The Gala Festival Orchestra.

The concert also features:

Catherine Hamilton – Soprano
Tom Robson – Tenor
Michael Pearce – Bass
Arthur Robson – Conductor

The Creation (German: Die Schöpfung) is an oratorio written between 1796 and 1798 by Joseph Haydn and considered by many to be his masterpiece. The oratorio depicts and celebrates the creation of the world as described in the Book of Genesis and in Paradise Lost. It is scored for soprano, tenor and bass soloists, chorus and orchestra.
