A concert of old favourites and new excitements with the Southdowns Concert Band (Musical Director Tom Hodge).

The well-known bass-baritone Michael Pearce will be appearing as the guest soloist.

The New Park Community and Arts Association is the Mayor's charity this year. Over sixty groups now make regular use of the Centre, including the New Park Cinema and the nationally-known Judo Ronin. It has now entered a new phase of expansion, refurbishment and reconstruction, with a contract of £1.5 million with the builders already on site with footings laid. Any additional funds will be put towards an extended and refurbished bar/cafe, new toilet facilities, two more community rooms and a new main entrance.
